(and a proud dad) during a preseason game. But he wouldn't have gotten to where he is without a bit of an edge.

During an interview with GQ, he went in-depth on how he uses other NBA players wearing his shoes to get himself amped up, which you can hear at the six minute mark:

So for me, now being in that MJ class, I'm like, if I see a guy wearing my shoes, if he's not like a real good brother of mine - because you know I've got some guys that are Team LeBron and that's what we do - but if you're just a guy and you go to Foot Locker or somewhere and you just get a pair of LeBrons and you want to wear them on a Tuesday night against me? I'm gonna bust your a**.

Cavaliers felt about their star player riding around on a motorcycle, here's what he had to say:

Oh man, they're like "What are you doing?" And I'm like "What you think I'm doing? I'm getting a breath of fresh air. You know? I've got one life with this, so that's what I'm doing."

Only having one life seems like a great argument against riding a motorcycle when you're getting paid millions of dollars to be in elite physical shape, but hey, to each their own.

Last September, a senior Saudi royal called for a “change” in leadership to fend off the kingdom’s collapse.

In a letter circulated among Saudi princes, its author, a grandson of the late King Abdulaziz Ibn Saud, blamed King Salman for endangering the monarchy’s survival.

Informed observers think such a prospect “fanciful”, but the letter’s analysis of Saudi Arabia’s predicament is startlingly accurate. The House of Saud is on the brink of a perfect storm of interconnected crises that could be the monarchy’s undoing within the next decade.

Saudi Arabia’s primary source of revenues, of course, is oil. For the last few years, the kingdom has pumped at record levels, keeping global oil prices low, and undermining OPEC rivals – who cannot afford to stay in business at such squeezed profit margins.

But Saudi Arabia’s spare capacity to pump like crazy can only last so long. A new peer-reviewed study in the Journal of Petroleum Science & Engineering anticipates that a peak in Saudi Arabia’s oil production, followed by inexorable decline, is due for 2028.

According to Texas petroleum geologist Jeffrey J. Brown and Dr. Sam Foucher, though, it’s not just about production. The key issue is translating production into exports, against rising rates of domestic consumption.

Brown and Foucher showed that the inflection point to watch out for is when an oil producer cannot increase the quantity of oil sales abroad, because of the need to meet rising domestic energy demand.

They found that from 2005 to 2015, Saudi net oil exports have experienced an annual decline rate of 1.4 per cent. Citigroup backs them up, recently predicting that net exports would plummet to zero in the next 15 years.

So Saudi state revenues, 80 per cent of which come from oil sales, are heading downwards, terminally.

Saudi Arabia is the region’s biggest energy consumer, domestic demand having increased by 7.5 per cent over the last five years alone.

Demographic expansion, estimated to grow further from 29 million people today, to 37 million by 2030, is a major driver of demand. As the larger population absorbs Saudi Arabia’s energy production, the next decade will see the country’s oil exporting capacity evermore constrained.

To wean domestic demand off oil dependence, Saudi Arabia decided to invest in renewable energy, hoping to free up capacity for oil sales abroad, thus maintaining state revenues.

But earlier this year, this prescient strategy was dumped for military adventurism. The kingdom announced an eight year delay to its €97bn solar programme, which was supposed to produce a third of the nation’s electricity by 2032.

Meanwhile, state revenues have been hit by rocketing military spending for the war in Yemen, as well as from declining profits from its own efforts to keep oil prices low to undermine competing producers.

Now Saudi Arabia’s considerable reserves are being depleted at unprecedented levels, dropping from a 2014 peak of €655bn to €597bn in May – falling by about €10.6bn a month.

At this rate, by late 2018 the kingdom’s reserves could drop as low as €177bn.

King Salman’s response has been to simply accelerate borrowing. What happens when over the next few years, reserves deplete, debt increases, while oil revenues remain strained?

In Egypt, Syria and Yemen, reduced subsidies and rocketing food and oil prices inflamed the grievances that generated the ‘Arab spring’ uprisings.

Saudi Arabia’s oil wealth underpins its ability to fend off the risk off civil unrest through lavish domestic subsidies. Energy subsidies alone make up about a fifth of Saudi’s GDP.

Declining revenues from declining oil exports will translate in the kingdom’s decreased capacity to keep a lid on rising domestic dissent.

About a quarter of Saudis are in poverty, while unemployment is at about 12 per cent, mostly young people – 30 per cent of whom are unemployed.

Climate change is pitched to heighten such economic problems, especially concerning food and water.

At 98 cubic metres per person per year, the kingdom is among the most water scarce in the world. About 70 per cent of domestic water supplies are met through desalination plants, accounting for over half of domestic oil consumption. As oil exports and state revenues run down amid increasing demand, costly desalination won’t be able to keep up.

Saudi Arabia is experiencing stronger interior warming and northern rainfall deficits due to climate change. By 2040, local temperatures could go as high as 4 degrees Celsius, while extreme weather events like droughts and flash flooding would worsen.

This of course could undermine agricultural productivity, already strained from overgrazing and unsustainable industrial agricultural practices that are intensifying desertification.

Most water withdrawal is from groundwater, 57 per cent of which is non-renewable, and 88 per cent of which goes to agriculture.

As 80 per cent of Saudi Arabia’s food requirements are purchased through heavily subsidised imports, the decline in state revenues mean the country will be increasingly vulnerable to global food price fluctuations.

In Iraq, Syria, Yemen and Egypt, the risk of conflict was compounded due to declining state power in the face of climate-induced droughts, agricultural decline, and rapid oil depletion – interconnected trends now unfolding apace in Saudi Arabia.

The implication is that on its current course, the kingdom is on the brink of protracted state-failure, a process likely to unfold over the next decade with increasing visibility

The Russian manufacturer of the missile system blamed for shooting down flight MH17 said Friday it would unveil the "real reasons" for the disaster on the same day Dutch investigators present their final report on the tragedy.

Almaz-Antey, the maker of the BUK surface-to-air system that the West and Kiev believe downed MH17, said it would present its version of events at a press conference on Tuesday after holding an "experiment" that entailed detonating a missile next to a plane.

The company will air its claims on the same day that Dutch investigators issue their report following a 15-month probe.

All 298 people onboard were killed when the Malaysia Airlines Boeing 777 was downed over east Ukraine on July 17 last year.

Almaz-Antey said it would "present the results of a full-scale experiment, a real simulation of an encounter between a BUK-type missile and a passenger plane."

The test "will help understand the real causes of the catastrophe," it said.

Ukraine and many in the West have accused pro-Russian rebels of blowing the airliner out of the sky with a BUK missile supplied from Russia, possibly mistaking it for a Ukrainian warplane.

Moscow has vehemently denied any involvement, providing a range of conflicting theories, including an air-to-air missile putatively launched by a Ukrainian jet.

Almaz-Antey in June said the BUK-M1 type of missile has not been produced in Russia since 1999 and is in the arsenal of the Ukrainian armed forces.

Moscow in July vetoed a UN resolution to establish an international tribunal to prosecute those responsible for the downing.

Investigators in the Dutch probe have said that they found fragments at the crash site that seem to be from a Russian-made surface-to-air missile. The report findings next week are expected to provide details but will not assign blame.

One thing that helps with the struggle has been the family's ability to maintain close bonds

Wildlife activists are applauding the arrest by Tanzanian authorities of a Chinese woman for alleged ivory smuggling but caution that it's a small step toward stemming the "slaughter of industrial proportions" of elephants

According to the government, Tanzania's elephant population plummeted from an estimated 109,051 in 2009 to 43,330 in 2014.

Yang Feng Clan, 66, was charged Wednesday in Dar es Salaam alongside two Tanzanians with smuggling 1.9 tons of ivory between Jan. 1, 2000 and May 22, 2014. Their case was adjourned to Monday.

"We are very happy to hear about this arrest since Tanzania has been facing a major catastrophe with the death of 30 elephants per day for several years now," Paula Kahumbu, a top wildlife conservationist, said Friday

Tanzania has been largely in denial about the crisis, and anyone reporting on it has been threatened, she said. Kahumbu says she is cautiously optimistic that "Tanzania is turning a corner on poaching."

"We have heard that the Tanzanian authorities have been cracking down on poachers and that over 1,400 people arrested, and over 300 jailed in the last 12 months. If this is true, then Tanzania is to be congratulated," she said.

Others are not so optimistic and fear this arrest is to gain attention and support ahead of elections later this month, she said.

In Beijing, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Hua Chunying said Friday she did not know about the case but asserted that China is committed to protecting endangered wildlife.

Elephant Action League said in a statement Thursday: "Tanzania has been the ground zero of elephant poaching in East Africa for the past several years."

"A slaughter of industrial proportion such as this cannot have happened without the involvement of high-profile, corrupt individuals and government officials at the two ports of Dar es Salaam and Zanzibar, and elsewhere in civil society," it said.

The group said a specialized wildlife trafficking unit under Tanzania's National and Transnational Serious Crimes Investigation Unit made the arrests.

In February, China imposed a one-year ban on ivory imports amid criticism that its citizens' desire for ivory threatens African elephants.

Israel lacks a national motto. If its leaders are looking for a Latin one, “carpe chaos” would be an apt and honest choice.

“Seize the chaos” is half of Israeli foreign policy in a nutshell (the other half being the instigation of that chaos in the first place). Indeed, even its friends in the media cannot help but put it in such terms. For example, The New York Times recently reported about the “…many Israeli leaders and thinkers seizing on the chaos

in Syria to solidify Israel’s hold on Golan.”

This refers to the Golan Heights, which Israel captured from Syria in 1967 and has occupied ever since. Even the Israel-enabling United Nations considers that occupation and subsequent annexation to be unjust and illegal. Returning Golan to Syria has long been advanced as part of a potential peace deal.

But now, Israel is using the civil war in Syria as an excuse to expand settlements in the Golan Heights; a senior minister wants 100,000 new residents in the next five years. Its potential uses are manifold:

“The 400-plus square miles of the Israeli-controlled Golan on the northeast border with Syria is both strategic plateau and lush agricultural terrain yielding prize apples, cherries and beef. It is also a vast playground that drew 3 million tourist visits last year.”

This is Israel’s usual M.O. in the Palestinian West Bank as well: forging ahead with illicit settlements to establish “realities on the ground” that will be hard to reverse, thereby fixing the occupation permanently in place.

Advocates of the new Golan settlements defend them by citing the chaos in Syria: “With Syria ‘disintegrating’ after years of civil war, they argue, it is hard to imagine a stable state to which the territory could be returned.”

The Times quotes Israeli MP Michael Oren who adds a blatant lebensraumargument to the case for good measure:

“We need places to build, and the world doesn’t want us to build in the West Bank. I don’t think anyone in the world can come at us and say we’re building on land that’s going to be part of a peace deal if we build on the Golan Heights.”

“Seize the chaos” is not a new doctrine: neither is it limited to Israeli halls of power. A veritable “carpe chaos

” manifesto was written in 1996 for a Washington think tank by David Wurmser, an Israel-first neocon (but I repeat myself) who would later play a key role in the Bush administration’s drive to the Iraq War: advising Dick Cheney in the Vice President’s Office, assisting John Bolton at the State Department, and fabricating fanciful “connections” between Iraq and Al Qaeda at the Department of Defense.

Now the 22-year-old has admitted his “drunken kiss” with Pippa, but is doing his utmost to win Emily back.

He told Manchester Evening News: “I hold my hands up. I’ve made a massive mistake. I’ve ruined the best thing that has ever happened to me.

“Not only have I disrespected Emily, but I’ve disrespected her and my entire family.

“I’ll never live this down. It was one single drunken kiss that obviously meant more to her than it ever did to me.

“It was a mistake and I’m sure people have done a lot worse.”

He added: “This has ruined me. Emily won’t speak to me.

“But I promise I will not stop fighting for her. It may take one year, it may take five years, but I won’t stop.”

Pippa posted the picture after she claimed to have written down Matty’s phone number wrong - and wanted to find him.

But Matty said he DELIBERATELY gave her the wrong number and said that she had “no respect” for Emily, and simply “wanted attention”.

He added: “Why would I go out for a hamburger when I’ve got a sirloin steak cooking at home?

“I gave her a fake number for a reason. I didn’t want to let her down hard, I’m not that type. I wish I did now.”

Pippa last night dismissed Matty’s claims that they had one single kiss, writing on Facebook: “Here it is… going on like it was one single kiss it was going on all night.

She added: “He wanted me to leave with him haha cant breathe[sic].”

Uber just launched a new car option for its customers, and it's called UberSELECT.

Basically, it looks like UberSELECT is supposed to be classier than the standard UberX service, but not as expensive as hailing a nice (but pricey) UberBLACK car.

If you want to give off the illusion that you're shelling out for your Uber ride but don't want to pay a lot of money, it looks like UberSELECT is what the company wants you to use.

UberSELECT includes, according to Uber, cars like BMW 3-Series, Audi A4, and Mercedes C-Class.

UberX cars, by comparison, include the Toyota Camry, the Volkswagen Jetta, and the Subaru Outback, for example, while acceptable UberBLACK vehicles could be the Tesla Model S, the Mercedes-Benz M-Class, or the BMW X6.

It's unclear how the service otherwise differs from Uber's other offerings, aside from offering a nice ride with a lower price point than its luxury service.

AirlineRatings.com today announced the winners of its third annual Best of the Best in luxury air travel, and two airlines – Qantas and Singapore – rose above the rest.

AirlineRatings.com editors examined the offerings and in-flight service of more than 450 airlines. Qantas and Singapore made it into the Top Ten in each of the four categories, while Air New Zealand, Cathay Pacific Airways and Etihad made the Top Ten in three of the categories.

You shouldn't enter a country through a hole in a fence," the judge tells Mustafa, a Syrian migrant charged with a new type of crime created in Hungary only last month -- illegally entering the country by crossing the newly-built barrier on the border with Serbia.

"You should knock on a door when you want to come into a house," adds the judge, Gy. Molnar Sandor, during the trial taking place in the southern Hungarian city of Szeged.

The government ordered the building of the razor wire barrier in August to stem the flow of migrants, with more than 320,000 crossing Hungary so far this year, most headed on via Austria to Germany.

But hundreds continued to climb over or crawl under the fence even after the new legislation came into force on September 15.

Since then, there have been more than 400 fast-track trials of migrants –- mostly Syrians and Iraqis -- charged with the crime.

Meanwhile, the fence has merely shifted the problem as people now mostly arrive in Hungary via its border with Croatia and are taken to Austria on trains provided by the authorities.

"No one told me I could go through Croatia," Mustafa said, his hand shaking as he holds a copy of his verdict, an expulsion order barring him from Hungary for two years, and ordering his removal to Serbia, deemed a "safe" country by Hungary.

His name will also be entered in an EU database, possibly preventing him from entering any country in the bloc's passport-free Schengen zone.

"They say they are brought to the fence by smugglers in Serbia, they really are victims," said Mohammed Kerro, a Kurdish-speaking interpreter who has been working at three or four trials every day for the last three weeks.

"The traffickers say it's no problem to get through the fence, some even tell them it's actually the Croatian border," the Syrian-born Kerro told AFP in the corridor outside the courtroom.

Among those waiting to be called before a different judge is 25-year-old Sara from the northern Syrian city of Kobani.

Tears are streaming down her face as she struggles to control her two-year-old daughter Ellah.

Wearing stained jeans, the woman slips a bandaged foot out of her trainers, which have no laces. She lost a toenail on her journey, mostly on foot, from Turkey through Bulgaria into Serbia in the hope of reaching Germany.

Once inside the courtroom, the judge told Sara she was spotted by heat cameras mounted on pylons along the border, as she and 11 other people scrambled through a hole in the fence on October 6 near the town of Morahalom.

The robed prosecutor said the young Syrian's crime was not coming to Hungary, but choosing a criminal mode of entry.

Sara explained she fled her hometown after IS jihadists occupied it. "I saw beheadings, they killed both my parents-in-law," she weeped.

Ellah, oblivious to the drama, drew with a coloured pencil on a legal document on the floor.

"Are there fences around houses in Kobani?" asked the prosecutor.

The woman appears baffled by the question.

"Fences are not the custom where I am from," she replied. "I didn't think anything at all, I just followed the others, holding my child, I do it all for her."

- Trials condemned -

The judge, although sympathetic, tells her that ignorance of the law cannot be a defence.

Although Sara's act does not warrant a jail term -- a punishment reserved for people caught physically damaging the fence –- she receives a one-year ban from Hungary.

Confused and relieved, the woman declined an offer to receive the verdict in her own language, nor will she appeal her sentence.

The summary trials have been condemned by both rights groups and the European Commission, though Budapest insist they comply with European norms.

"They just want it all over and done with as soon as possible," her interpreter told AFP after the trial, which lasted 72 minutes.

After their sentencing, the migrants are brought back to the detention centres, from where they will be returned to Serbia at some point.

Hungary's Immigration Office, which is tasked to carry out the expulsion order, has yet to answer AFP questions about how many people have been removed to Serbia, and how many are still waiting to be deported.

A Florida woman who lives about a half a mile from where the snake resided with its owner, Mike Kennedy, reportedly heard a hissing sound coming from under her clothes dryer in the garage.

She called Orange County’s animal services to help get the slithering snake out of the system.

Three animal service officers arrived and captured the 10-foot King Cobra and had to use special instruments and a cat size crate to place it in due to its massive size.

Coaching big time college football comes with loads of pressure, unreasonably high expectations, and little to no job security. Needless to say, the individuals who voluntarily pursue careers in the cutthroat world of college football coaching have a burning passion for what they do and a love for the game that has them willing to work in what can best be described as a “what have you done for me lately” type of industry. As a result, head coaches at the Football Bowl Subdivision level are extremely well compensated. Which is something that seems like a fair tradeoff given their lack of job security and the fact that a successful football program can be worth literally hundreds of millions of dollars to a university.

With the start of the 2015 college football season in the books, we decided to take a look at which coaches will be starting the season out on the hot seat. For those who don’t already know, the hot seat is basically a situation where a coach is feeling the heat to either win or lose his job. One of the first coaches people brought up this offseason was Texas Tech’s Kliff Kingsbury (pictured above). Kingsbury is well-known for his brash personality as a coach and for setting numerous records during his time as a quarterback for the Red Raiders. In his two years in Lubbock, he has compiled a 15-15 record, but due to the

structure of his contract and his status as a Texas Tech football legend, we simply do not believe his job is in jeopardy at this time. The coaches we did choose to include will all likely be looking for work next offseason if they are unable to turn things around at their current schools this fall. Without further ado, here is a look at seven coaches (in no particular order) who are firmly entrenched on the hot seat.

1. Paul Rhoads, Iowa State

Record at Iowa State: 31-48

2015 Salary: $1.8 million

Rhoads, an Iowa native, has led the Cyclones to three bowl games, but only one winning season in his six years on the job. To make matters worse, his last two seasons have been his worst two seasons as the team’s head coach. In 2013, the team went 3-9 overall and 2-7 in Big 12 games. In 2014, the Cyclones finished 2-10, and did not win a single game during Big 12 play. Rhoads signed a 10-year, $20 million extension back in December of 2011, which may make firing him difficult from a financial standpoint. However, if the Cyclones don’t show vast signs of improvement in 2015, Iowa State Athletic Director Jamie Pollard may have no choice but to sever ties with Rhoads and look for a fresh start with another coach.

KFC was handing out free copies of the comic book to Comic Con attendees and others in New York City this week.

KFC's same-store sales grew just 3% in the most recent quarter.

The company's stock fell more than 19% immediately after reporting disappointing earnings last week.

Two young cousins alone and lost in the Appalachian woods ate sticks and slept on the ground during a 20-hour ordeal that ended when searchers found them unharmed Friday in the rugged terrain in the Red River Gorge area of Kentucky, the mother of one boy said.

The boys, ages 5 and 7, were found about a mile from the family's campsite in the popular recreation area, Kentucky State Police Trooper Joe Veeneman said. Their disappearance Thursday evening from the campsite set off a massive search in the wooded, ravine-filled area.

The boys came away from the adventure with only a few bumps and scrapes, the trooper said.

"No more scrapes than they would normally get on a hike," said Julia Esposito, the mother of one of the boys.

"They're in great shape, good spirits," she added. "They don't want to leave the campout."

One boy was identified as 5-year-old Michael Esposito of Batavia, Ohio. His cousin, 7-year-old Adrian Ross, is from Bloomington, Indiana.

The boys had gone to the campsite with the younger boy's father and a grandfather of both boys, Veeneman said. They had gone ahead of other family members who were joining them later, he said.

Julia Esposito said her husband was pitching a tent and her father was cooking dinner when the boys wandered off. The boys had been running around with three other young relatives as the adults tended to the campsite, she said.

"Two of them went off just exploring and went a little bit too far and just disappeared," she said. "If you get over a ridge and get yourself turned around, it's easy to get lost."

The boys didn't seem spooked by their night alone in the woods, Esposito said.

"If you talk to them, they weren't afraid and they weren't cold," she said. "It was so dark that they couldn't see each other."

They told family that they slept on the ground under a tree. Overnight lows dipped into the mid-50s.

"They decided to eat some sticks because they didn't know what else to eat, because they knew they shouldn't eat mushrooms or berries," she said.

The rescuer who found them said later that the boys were calm, she said. The boys gobbled cookies and jerky and guzzled water offered by rescuers.

For the family, it was "a nailbiter of a night" as the search continued, Esposito said.

"You keep imagining the worst-case scenario," she said.

Searchers used dogs to try to track the boys. A helicopter also flew over the area as part of the search.

Rain started falling soon after the boys were found Friday afternoon.

Even after its ordeal, the family was staying in the area and planned to hike on Saturday, Esposito said.

Red River Gorge is a heavily wooded, rocky destination popular with hikers, campers and rock climbers.
