Last month, when the Internet learned that not only did Kermit the Frog break up with Miss Piggy, but he had a new girlfriend, Denise,
everyone collectively
flipped the heck out. There were tweets and memes and eventually someone pointed out that apparently Denise looks like
Natalie Dormer:

Well, someone just asked her about it.

Queen Margaery herself was at New York Comic-Con on Thursday for the
Game of Thrones panel when, during the fan Q&A portion, some dude asked her about her �almost uncanny� resemblance with a puppet pig.

Clearly Dormer was already aware of the comparisons, because she facepalms as soon as she hears the question. But she manages to respond with more class than we would have had, revealing with a laugh, "When I saw Kermit's new girlfriend, I was like 'Maybe I'm a bit responsible for that.��

The actress brings up a scene from GoT season three, in which her character is walking along the cliffs with Sansa and discusses being teased as a young girl �for having a snubby nose.� "I phoned [creators] David [Benioff] and Dan [Weiss], it�s the only time I�ve ever asked them to put in a line, 'Please, can you put in a line about a piggy nose?�� she explains. �Because I was bullied at school.�

�I used to get told I had pig nostrils. I�ve got big nostrils, my whole family does. It�s a burden we bear,� she told the crowd, good-naturedly. �I said for my own demons, it would be like sticking two middle fingers up to the bullies of my childhood if Margaery is joking about it. If you watch the DVDs back, you'll see me doing a pig noise.�

So, Dormer says, �I brought up the pig subject in the first place�I've already made the comparison of my nostrils to a pig, so I can't really argue about it.�
